Module 1 — Foundations of NMP Somatics™
(NMP-NeuroReset 25)

Module 1 introduces the foundations of NMP Somatics™ (Neuromuscular Re-Patterning), a nervous-system-based approach taught in the tradition of Hanna Somatic Education. In this 2-day intensive, you’ll explore Sensory Motor Amnesia, pandiculation, and common neuromuscular response patterns; develop skills in postural observation and protocol selection; experience NeuroReset 25™; and learn how to integrate movement-based education and home-care guidance into client work.

Why These Foundations Matter

In Module 1 you learn the foundational cueing and sequencing for the flexor and extensor patterns, so you can recognize when a body is bracing, collapsing, or “stuck” in habitual tone. Learning to guide the movements with your words trains precision, pacing, and nervous-system safety—skills that translate directly into treatment planning and client self-care. This is the base that everything else builds on in NMP Somatics™ (Rooted in

Hanna Somatics®).

Module 1 is the starting point for the NMP Somatics™ (Neuromuscular Re-Patterning) teacher-training pathway. This training is taught in the tradition of Hanna Somatics®, using the core principles of sensory-motor learning to help the nervous system release chronic tension patterns and restore voluntary control.

Across this 2-day intensive, you’ll learn how Sensory Motor Amnesia (SMA) develops, why the body holds “stuck” tension over time, and how pandiculation (slow, voluntary contraction followed by a controlled release) retrains the brain’s connection to muscle. You’ll be guided through the foundational sequence NMP-NeuroReset25, learn how to track changes using the Soma Scan, and begin developing the teaching skills that make somatic work effective: clear language, safe pacing, and a predictable class structure students can follow with eyes closed.

Module 1 includes guided practice, integration time, and structured teaching skill-building so you leave not only understanding the work, but able to communicate it clearly and responsibly. After Module 1, participants are eligible to teach NMP-NeuroReset 25 within NMP Somatics™ guidelines.
